10 years of greentech.ruhr

The greentech.ruhr annual meeting in Oberhausen brought together representatives from business, industry and academia to discuss sustainable technologies and the latest developments in the green economy.

BECHEM ’s CTO, Dr Max Jopen, was in attendance and, in his keynote speech, highlighted the contribution that lubricants can make to the green economy. The focus was on sustainability in the chemical industry, the ‘ BECHEM ’ Nexus Technology and the potential of PFAS-free lubricants.

It became clear that lubricants are often underestimated in the sustainability debate. They have always helped to reduce friction, minimise wear and tear, and make processes more efficient. Today, the aim is to further expand this potential and meet the growing demands for performance and sustainability through innovative technologies.

There was a particular focus on PFAS-free lubricant solutions. Dr Jopen emphasised that these not only make an important contribution to a more responsible industry, but also have the potential to outperform conventional PFAS-containing solutions.
